Driving Directions
From Downtown San Francisco
Take US-101 South toward San Jose for about three miles. Exit at Silver Avenue and head west. Turn left onto Mission Street; the campus is approximately half a mile down on the right, between Onondaga Avenue and Geneva Avenue. Allow 15 to 20 minutes from the Financial District in standard traffic.
From the Sunset and the Westside
Take Sloat Boulevard east, then Ocean Avenue east, then merge south onto Mission Street. The facility is approximately ten minutes from Stonestown Galleria.
From the East Bay
Cross the Bay Bridge into San Francisco, take I-280 South to the Geneva Avenue exit, head west, and turn right onto Mission Street. The campus is about a quarter mile north on the left.
From Daly City and the Peninsula
Take I-280 North to the John Daly Boulevard exit; turn right onto Mission Street and continue north for about 1.5 miles. The facility is on the right just past the Excelsior District line.
BART access
The Balboa Park BART station is a 12-minute walk from our front entrance. The Glen Park station is also walkable; both are well-served by Muni 14 and 49 buses that stop within a block of the campus.
Arrival notes
Limited parking is available on site for admissions arrivals; street parking is metered on Mission Street with two-hour limits. If you are driving someone in crisis, pull directly into the admissions semicircle and a nurse will meet the vehicle. The address is 4828 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94112.
Service Area
NCL Rehab primarily serves patients across the San Francisco Bay Area - San Francisco, Daly City, South San Francisco, Brisbane, Pacifica, the broader Peninsula, the East Bay, Marin, and the surrounding communities. The Mission Street location was chosen deliberately: it sits within a thirty-minute drive of most Bay Area emergency departments, which is why so many of our admissions arrive directly from hospital referrals.
We regularly admit patients transferring from UCSF Medical Center, Zuckerberg San Francisco General, California Pacific Medical Center, Kaiser San Francisco, Saint Francis Memorial, Seton Medical Center, and Mills-Peninsula. Hospital-to-hospital transfers are coordinated directly between our admissions team and the referring clinician, usually within a few hours of the initial call.
Patients traveling from outside the Bay Area are welcome. Our admissions team handles airport pickup from SFO, OAK, and SJC and coordinates pre-admission logistics so the first day is about arrival, not navigation.
