Treatment Programs

A full continuum of evidence-based care for lasting recovery.

NCL Rehab offers comprehensive treatment programs designed to meet each individual where they are. From medical detox through outpatient care, our clinical team provides personalized, evidence-based treatment at every stage of recovery.

Medical Detox

Medical detox at NCL Rehab runs three to seven days in a dedicated wing of the Mission Street campus, with a physician on site daily and nurses on the wing around the clock. We accept detox admissions at any hour. A nurse completes vitals and comfort medication within the first twenty minutes of arrival; the intake paperwork waits.

Our protocols cover alcohol, opioids (including fentanyl), benzodiazepines, stimulants, and polysubstance presentations. Medication-assisted treatment - buprenorphine, methadone bridging, naltrexone - is available and discussed openly. We monitor withdrawal with CIWA and COWS scoring and adjust comfort protocols every two hours through the acute phase.

Detox is not treatment - it is the corridor that makes treatment possible. Most patients transition directly into residential care by day four, carrying the clinical trust built during detox into the longer work ahead.

Residential Treatment

Residential care at NCL runs thirty to ninety days across 34 beds. The clinical structure is intensive by design: three therapy sessions per day combining group, individual, and specialty modalities. Mornings begin at 7:30 a.m. and the schedule is built to occupy the cognitive bandwidth that, in early sobriety, would otherwise turn toward craving.

Every resident is assigned a primary therapist, a case manager, and a vocational rehabilitation counselor in the first 72 hours. Weekly progress is reviewed in clinical rounds attended by medical, psychiatric, and therapy staff. Standardized outcome assessments occur at admission, mid-stay, discharge, and 90- and 365-day follow-ups - the data that fuels the continuous-improvement work that distinguishes our program.

Outpatient Program

Outpatient care is the original NCL model - the practice we built before we ever opened a residential bed. Each tier is clinically full, designed for a specific phase of recovery rather than as a step-down from the previous level.

Partial Hospitalization (PHP)

Two to four weeks of six-hour clinical days, Monday through Friday. PHP suits patients who no longer need overnight care but still require a full therapeutic schedule and ongoing medical oversight.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Eight to twelve weeks of three-hour sessions, three to four days per week. Evening IOP runs 6 to 9 p.m. so professionals, healthcare workers, first responders, and parents can continue treatment without leaving their roles.

Standard Outpatient

Weekly individual therapy, monthly psychiatric follow-up, and alumni group access. The maintenance tier that sustains recovery over months and years.

Dual Diagnosis

Roughly seven of every ten patients who arrive at NCL Rehab carry a co-occurring diagnosis - depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, or unresolved trauma. The clinical evidence on integrated care is unambiguous: treating both diagnoses in parallel from day one produces substantially better outcomes than the older "treat the addiction first" approach.

Dr. Vasquez and the psychiatric team review every dual-diagnosis admission within forty-eight hours. Medication adjustments, therapy modality selection, and trauma-focused work are sequenced together so one track does not undercut the other. EMDR, DBT, and psychodrama are available as clinically indicated.
